We flew out of Rio at 9:30am, and landed at Curitiba at 10:15am, which was, thankfully, the shortest flight of the trip thus far. On the downside, we took a 1-2 hour cab ride to get from the airport to the hotel. One thing I have to say about the trip thus far, is that we didn't take fatigue into account when we planned it all out. The amount of time we spend travelling, whether flying, or cab rides, it almost more tiring than the activities themselves.
So as a result, we spend a decent portion of the afternoon catching up on sleep, because who can honestly sleep well, if at all, on flights. Much of the group hung out around the hotel, especially out on the deck and by the pool again. We then went off for an early dinner.
In Curitiba, especially where we were, the main style of eating is buffet style. When you sit down, servers swarm the table and drop off plates of random foods, varying from steak to papaya to, the classic, rice and beans. While it was all delicious, that is a very heavy meal, and having it 2-3 times a day for a couple days definitely doesn't help with the fatigue of travelling.
After dinner, we all just fell asleep, trying to catch up on our beauty sleep.
